Also, preferred status gives you access to the best beachfront bar. The pool is quieter and staffed by Alba, who rapidly delivered us drinks while we sat in the pool. I'd also recommend paying for the preferred club. If you can't afford either, don't worry as the rest of the staff is so incredibly friendly. If you have the money available, 1) get a butler and 2) splurge on the beachfront rooms. But our butler, Oliver, saved the day (and our vacation) by getting us into an upgraded beachfront room quickly. This review would have been less stars, as our first room had a broken air conditioning unit. We had an amazing time with a group of two other couples, all celebrating 40th birthdays.
