There's only ceiling fan in the room that provide no relief. And its hot hot hot in Tuamotu plus the humidity. Now the problems: Premium overwater bungalows have no AC. The setting is remote and beautiful (Though having been to Maldives, we found Maldives far superior than Tuamotu islands). ![]() Lots of deserted motu near by thats reachable by swim or kayaks. The reefs around the resorts were healthy, you see reef sharks every day around the overwater bungalows, especially at night. I did dove with Topdive in Rangiroa, Moorea & Bora Bora. Diving is far superior, and dive company onsite Topdive was great. Tuamotu islands are beautiful, more peaceful than Society islands. But our 5 sleepless night in Tikehau Pearls were the most miserable 5 nights during our 25 days in French Polynesia :( And management show absolutely disinterests in improving guests experience. I want to like Tikehau Pearls, which sit on its own small motu in the beautiful Tuamotu islands. The family stay in bungalow across from us also complain about the heat, and they were concerned about the Chikungunya outbreak because they have small children, they closed all windows at night which make. At the time of arrival, we heard a couple complain to management about the too hot to sleep and management provided typical cliche response. We have gel capsul medication that melted because of the heat. ![]() ![]()
